Rachel O’Donnell
Clinical Research Manager
As our Clinical Research Director, Rachel is responsible for the coordination of trials specializing in the treatment of MS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and migraine. Prior to joining NCNE in 2020, Rachel worked as a research assistant at the Joslin Diabetes Center to better understand the effectiveness of technology-based therapeutic devices for Type 1 diabetes management. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stonehill College and is especially interested in Alzheimer’s research.
Brianne Calitri
Clinical Research Coordinator
Brianne joined NCNE in 2021 as a Clinical Research Coordinator, and is responsible for the coordination of trials specializing in the treatment of MS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and migraine. Brianne has years of experience in research, most recently with UMass Medical School working in the Psychotic Disorders Program with patients living with schizophrenia and other serious mental illness. She got her start in clinical research at the MetroWest Medical Center working on endocrinology, oncology, and infectious disease studies. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Bridgewater State College. Brianne is passionate about destigmatizing disease and conditions and enjoys working on clinical trials that show promise to bring patients a better quality of life. Brianne also serves as a faculty member at a local community college instructing the Phlebotomy Program. In her spare time, Brianne enjoys gardening and camping with her family.
Jillian Pellegrini
Clinical Research Coordinator
Jill recently joined NCNE as a Clinical Research Assistant, aiding in tasks associated with clinical trials for the treatment of MS, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and migraine. Prior to her time at NCNE, Jill was a full-time Master’s student at UMass Dartmouth, working towards a degree in Research Psychology. She has recently completed her Master’s thesis on anger and aggression this year. Jill developed a passion for research through her time collecting data while working as an ABA Therapist with children and teens on the Autism spectrum. Although she enjoyed her time as an ABA Therapist, she is excited to be a part of the research team and is especially interested in research related to memory. During her free time, Jill loves to cook and pick up a good book.
Emily Maize
Clinical Research Assistant
Emily has recently joined NCNE as a Clinical Research Assistant to support our MS, Alzheimer’s disease, and migraine trials. She is originally from southern California but received recently obtained her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Oregon. In Oregon, she worked in the Social & Affective Neuroscience lab studying the effects of mindful meditation practice on college aged individuals and assisted in implementing novel interventions for smoking cessation. She is passionate about helping others and using her education to do so. In her free time, she is often exploring all that nature has to offer.
